I was a zookeeper for 7 years, I’ve also worked in a museum, in an animal lab, a kennel/grooming facility. I’ve been a pet sitter, dog walker, and sanctuary volunteer. I currently still volunteer with the Houston Zoo and try to contribute to conservation in both action and money where I can. I’ve worked with over 300 species of animals in my time in animal care. I specialized in herpetology (reptiles and amphibians) but have worked with most taxa. My experience has given me the ability to vet sources so you don’t have to wade through all the conflicting information out there.
